About the Role
As a Technical Compliance Assistant, you will complete investigations and root cause analysis, conduct risk assessments, and play a vital role in completing internal audits. You will also deal with complaints, manage customer code of practices, and promote and develop a food safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigations and Root Cause Analysis: Administrative duties for all KPI incident and CAD reporting, including trend analysis, board slide, T4 presentation, and customer reporting.
- Training: Complete gap analysis on technical training requirements and build technical training risk assessments.
- External visits/contact: Ensure good preparation for successful technical visits, including forms completion, room bookings, hospitality setup, and PPE preparation.
- Support the Technical Team: Assist with meetings, administration, and hospitality arrangements for Retail and Certifications.
- Risk Assessments: Ensure schedules for environmental swabbing and testing, calibration, and raw material testing are carried out as per stated frequency. Implement corrective actions as required.
- Internal Audits: Following successful approval of risk assessment build, implement and manage all schedules associated with food safety, legality, and quality.
- Complaints: Log all complaints weekly, update trend analysis, and share information with the Compliance Coordinator.
- Customers’ Code of Practices: Manage the Customer COP's library, ensuring it is always up to date with the most recent version. Update the spreadsheet to demonstrate document control.
- Traceability: Own the traceability schedule, arrange collection and transfer of documents, and update the traceability spreadsheet.
- Customers: Prepare customer KPI reports and data for presentations, ensuring accuracy. Ensure Site Technical KPIs are always available and visual.
- Annual Verifications: Prepare for annual verification by ordering kits and communicating with the laboratory.
- Budget: Raise POs and log spending to ensure no overspend.
- Food Safety Culture: Ensure accurate data representation.
- Compliance Management System: Shadow the Compliance Coordinator to understand the system with the view of taking over maintenance of QMS and CMS.
- Taste Panel: Manage taste panels, results, feedback, and conduct taste panels and end-of-life sampling.
- Administration: Handle technical standing orders, artwork, and specifications as Compliance Coordinator deputy.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Support project work and fill knowledge or process gaps as identified by the Compliance Manager or Technical Manager.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who has worked within an FMCG environment previously, has a working knowledge of technical systems, sound organisational and presentation skills, can analyse data and support in formulating action plans, and has the ability to deconstruct and translate technical information.
