ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Whitefield, Manchester Salary: £55,000 Shift: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights (2D2N)  Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by a strong Electrical Maintenance Engineer has come to the forefront. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown maintenance across a range of production machinery and automated equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency. You will also have the opportunity to work on electrical control systems, motors, sensors, drives, PLC-controlled machinery and control panels, whilst supporting ongoing engineering improvements across the site. Sector – Food Manufacturing / Factory Maintenance Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory environment. Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience. Recognised electrical engineering qualification. Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Hands-on electrical fault-finding experience. Experience working with industrial production machinery. Experience with motors, sensors, contactors, relays, inverters/VSDs and control panels. Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment and electrical control systems. Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance. Recognised electrical engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent. Experience working within a manufacturing, FMCG, food production or similar industrial environment. Good understanding of electrical safety and safe isolation procedures. Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach. Desirable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK. Previous experience within food manufacturing or FMCG. PLC fault-finding experience. Experience with continuous improvement and root-cause analysis.
