The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will join a well established manufacturing business in Bedford where they will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of mechanical equipment across site. This role offers a stable Monday to Friday days position with significant overtime available, allowing the engineer to realistically earn an additional £5,000 to £10,000 per year.
The engineer will work on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatic systems while supporting continuous improvement projects within a growing manufacturing environment. If you are a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias looking for stability, strong earning potential and long term progression, this is an excellent opportunity.
Non Negotiable Requirements:- Must have worked as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Must have strong mechanical fault finding and repair skills
- Experience working within a production or factory setting
- Mechanical bias with basic electrical competency
- Experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Ability to fault find and minimise downtime independently
- Welding or fabrication skills
- Continuous improvement experience
- Experience within FMCG or high volume production
