A fantastic opportunity for a strong Section Leader to join a growing business has come to the forefront. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Production professional who is looking to take ownership of a dedicated production area and play a key role in delivering the production plan.

You will be responsible for overseeing the production process within your area, ensuring products are manufactured safely and to the required quality and food safety specifications. This is a hands-on and physical role, including lifting bags and ingredients of up to 25kg, as well as operating and monitoring production machinery. You will also supervise a small team, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, hygiene and process control.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Hands-on experience operating production machinery and working to a production plan.
  • Experience supervising or leading production staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience completing production paperwork, batch records, recipe checks and label controls.
  • Knowledge of GMP, hygiene, allergen control and food safety procedures.
  • Experience carrying out quality and process control checks.
  • Ability to complete machinery start-up checks and ensure equipment is ready for production.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate production records.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, physical production environment.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Section Leader, Production Team Leader, Production Supervisor or similar position.
  • Experience working with food safety systems such as HACCP.
