TRANSPORT ASSISTANT Job Title: Transport Assistant – Temporary Maternity Cover Location: Whitchurch (Shropshire) Salary: £35,000 - £36,000 Shift: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm Job Role of the Transport Assistant: A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Transport Assistant to join a busy Sales Transport team on a 12-month temporary maternity cover contract. This is a varied and fast-paced role, providing essential support to the existing Sales Transport team and helping to ensure products are delivered to customers on time and in the most cost-effective way. You will work closely with the Sales Manager, Operations and Factory Managers, Supervisors, drivers, third-party hauliers and customers to coordinate daily sales and transport requirements. You will be responsible for taking customer orders, maintaining daily sales plans, arranging transport, monitoring stock, updating systems and spreadsheets, and communicating any sales or transport issues to the relevant teams.
