Senior Frontend Engineer required! A Senior Frontend Engineer with expertise in React and TypeScript is needed to join an ever-expanding IT team of a leading specialist (re)insurer. As a Senior Front-end Engineer, you will be tasked with playing a crucial role as they look to continue innovating the IT strategy within the whole industry. About the role: As a Senior Frontend Engineer, your task will be to deliver intuitive, best-in-class interfaces, whilst integrating seamlessly across existing web applications. You will be expected to take ownership of this process - communicating closely with PMs, backend teams and key stakeholders. With this role you will be a key influencer, ensuring a user-friendly experience through the IT transformation process.
Key Responsibilities:- Influence key architectural decisions, including framework selection, design patterns, and scalability strategies.
- Drive advanced performance enhancements by profiling JavaScript execution, optimizing rendering, minimizing memory leaks, and implementing techniques like server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).
- Design and implement sophisticated state management solutions to efficiently handle complex application logic.
- Uphold front-end security best practices, mitigating vulnerabilities in alignment with industry standards.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and DevOps teams to streamline development workflows and CI/CD integration.
- Guide junior and mid-level developers through mentorship, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to enhance overall team capabilities.
You will have:
- Extensive experience as a React Developer with strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Skilled in using design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar for wireframing, prototyping, and creating interactive mock-ups.
- Hands-on experience conducting UX research, usability testing, and gathering user feedback to inform and refine design decisions.
- Deep understanding of responsive design principles, ensuring seamless user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
- Ability to interpret and translate complex functional and non-functional business requirements into well-considered, effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical solutions and architectural designs to non-technical stakeholders.
