Lead CLoud Engineer – Insurance

A leading London Market Insurer is embarking on a greenfield Cloud Platform System Integration initiative and is looking for a seasoned Azure Cloud Engineer to take a central role. This is a critical opportunity to lead the implementation of a brand-new system and ensure its seamless integration across the business.

You will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of Azure solutions, with a strong focus on API integration, Azure Integration Services, and Infrastructure as Code using Bicep. Proficiency in C#/.NET is essential for developing and integrating custom services.

It's also beneficial that you come from an Insurance background

This is an Outside IR35 6 – 9 months engagement, with a day rate of £650 – £700 p/d. Hybrid role in London office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mplementation of Azure cloud platform
• Develop robust APIs using OpenAPI, JSON, and Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus).
• Write clean, maintainable code in C#/.NET for cloud-native applications and integrations.
• Define and implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and security teams to ensure best practices and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the engineering team.

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure integration services
• Proven track record of leading Azure solution implementations in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in API design and integration, including OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, and RESTful services.
• Solid experience with C#/.NET for backend development and integration.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Bicep (or ARM templates).
• Experience in London Market Insurance desirable
