Technical Business Analyst – London Market Insurer £60,000 – £75,000 | Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office) | London

A leading Specialty Insurer is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join its high‑performing internal transformation team. The organisation is embarking on a major programme to modernise and streamline its underwriting and claims operations. You will play a pivotal role in mapping processes, driving change and shaping how technology supports the business.

The Role

You will join a dynamic transformation function delivering both business-as-usual support and project-based initiatives. Working closely with global business users and technical teams, you will:

• Map current processes and support the design of future-state processes for claims and underwriting.
• Create data flow diagrams to analyse how information moves through systems and processes, highlighting inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Gather and document requirements, translating them into technical specifications for development teams and prioritising in line with business needs.
• Influence stakeholders to adopt process improvements and drive the product agenda within an agile delivery environment.
• Support user acceptance testing by deriving test cases that validate end-to-end business processes.
• Develop training materials and deliver training across multiple time zones to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years\’ experience as a high-performing Business Analyst, ideally within insurance.
• Experience working in agile or product-led delivery teams
• Strong knowledge of requirements gathering process mapping and stakeholder management
• Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint
• Confident communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at senior level
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Exposure to insurance underwriting and/or claims processes is desirable
