A fast-growing specialty insurance group is expanding its technology and data function following several high-profile acquisitions. Its London-based data team is now building a unified reporting platform that will underpin decision-making across multiple underwriting businesses.

As a BI Developer, you will sit at the centre of this transformation, turning complex insurance and operational data into clear, trusted insight. You will work across Power BI, Databricks and Azure, shaping the reporting and data models that drive better commercial and underwriting outcomes.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and optimise SQL scripts, stored procedures and data models in Azure and Databricks
  • Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering and ETL teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment
  • Support the build-out of a shared data warehouse and self-service reporting environment

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in BI development using Power BI, SQL and Databricks
  • Strong understanding of DAX, data warehousing and data modelling principles
  • Background in insurance or other financial data environments preferred
  • Strong communicator able to translate business needs into technical solutions
