Pioneer Plant supplies the full Develon range, including crawler and mini excavators, wheeled loaders, articulated dump trucks, wheeled excavators, and material handlers. A highly skilled after-sales team provides responsive support to help businesses keep equipment operating efficiently and downtime to a minimum.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Service Controller role based at our Corby location. The Service Controller will coordinate service jobs, schedule engineers, and ensure timely allocation of resources to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include logging and tracking service requests, preparing and issuing job cards, updating service records and systems, and monitoring job progress to completion. The role will involve regular communication with customers, engineers, and suppliers to confirm appointments, provide updates, and resolve queries. The Service Controller will also assist with service-related invoicing, basic cost tracking, and reporting, while helping maintain compliance with company procedures, health and safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret service data, prioritize workloads, and support decision-making.
- Knowledge of Finance and basic Accounting to assist with service invoicing, cost control, and budget awareness.
- Experience with Financial Reporting or service performance reporting, including preparing summaries for management review.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting clearly and professionally with customers, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Proficiency with service management or ERP systems, and good general IT skills (e.g., MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook).
- Previous experience in a service controller, service coordinator, or similar role in plant, construction equipment, automotive, or related industries is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused mindset, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative working style.
