We are seeking a qualified and passionate English Teacher to join our team, delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is committed to inspiring students and raising achievement in English.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support progress for learners of all abilities, including those with additional needs where applicable.
Responsibilities- Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare and deliver well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, track and report on student progress
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge of English Language and Literature
- Good classroom management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience preparing students for GCSE English
- Ability to inspire and motivate reluctant learners
