Trainee Operatives & Qualified Operatives will be working with both the direct labour and sub‑contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines on time.
Responsibilities
- Setting up temporary traffic lights at roads required
- Managing the traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights, ensuring the public abides by the traffic rules
- Reporting anything necessary to the site or operations manager
- Reliable and dependable with a good attitude to work
- Maintaining and removing traffic management within the required time scales
- Assisting with the diversion of traffic
- Ensuring the team works in a safe and effective manner to achieve optimum output and the required quality
- Ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act at all times
- Being aware of and complying with the provided RAMS
- Helping with the unloading/loading of materials
- Ensuring safe working practices are followed as outlined in Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Reporting plant & vehicle defects
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings
- Evidence of Lantra approved Traffic Management Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
- Passage of a Drugs & Alcohol Check
- Right to work in the UK
