Scope of Role
Trainee Operatives and Qualified Operatives will be working with both direct labour and sub‑contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines on time.
Duties
- Setting up temporary traffic lights on required roads
- Managing traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights and ensuring the public complies
- Reporting anything necessary to the site or operations manager
- Demonstrating reliability and a positive work attitude
- Reading and interpreting CAD traffic management drawings
- Maintaining and removing traffic management within the required time scales
- Assisting with the diversion of traffic
- Ensuring the team works safely and effectively to achieve optimum output and required quality
- Ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act at all times
- Being aware of and complying with provided RAMS
- Helping with the unloading/loading of materials
- Following safe working practices outlined in Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Reporting plant and vehicle defects

- Ability to pass a Drugs & Alcohol Check
- Right to work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
