Scope of Role

Trainee Operatives and Qualified Operatives will be working with both direct labour and sub‑contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines on time.

Duties

  • Setting up temporary traffic lights on required roads
  • Managing traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights and ensuring the public complies
  • Reporting anything necessary to the site or operations manager
  • Demonstrating reliability and a positive work attitude
  • Reading and interpreting CAD traffic management drawings
  • Maintaining and removing traffic management within the required time scales
  • Assisting with the diversion of traffic
  • Ensuring the team works safely and effectively to achieve optimum output and required quality
  • Ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act at all times
  • Being aware of and complying with provided RAMS
  • Helping with the unloading/loading of materials
  • Following safe working practices outlined in Method Statements and Risk Assessments
  • Reporting plant and vehicle defects

Skills & Experience

  • Lantra‑approved Traffic Management Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a Drugs & Alcohol Check
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
  • Experience in one or more of the following positions: TTMBC Operative
