MLS Lawyer – Location
Birmingham or Leeds
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced MLS Lawyer (3‑5 years PQE in English Law) with strong asset management expertise to join our Managed Legal Services team.
What You’ll Do
- Draft, review and negotiate asset management documents, including leases, licences, variations, surrenders, extensions, consents and related agreements.
- Manage transactions such as grants of lease, renewals, assignments and terminations, ensuring timely delivery to client standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes of practice.
- Work closely with clients’ in‑house legal, estates and operational teams to provide a seamless service.
- Deliver clear, practical advice on legal and commercial strategies tailored to client portfolios.
Standard hours are 9:30am‑5:30pm, but we welcome flexible working requests.
About You
- Qualified lawyer with 3‑5 years PQE in English Law, ideally within a busy asset management team.
- Strong technical expertise and experience managing large property portfolios.
- Confident handling lease negotiations, renewals, surrenders and related matters.
- Understands commercial issues in asset management and embraces legal technology solutions.
- Demonstrates strong commercial awareness, risk‑management skills and efficiency‑focused thinking.
- Communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders.
