Here at Pinsent Masons we bring together the best people to get the job done. We’re naturally curious, constantly learning, listening, and growing. We’ll truly value your ideas. You’ll be joining an award-winning, hardworking and commercially minded team, where you’ll have the opportunity to work with leading experts and form meaningful relationships, while making a difference. You’ll get the opportunity to be involved in varied and challenging work, working in an open and supportive environment to deliver outstanding results. Our people are our success, and we work as one team.

The Legal Recruiter (known internally as Talent Acquisition Advisor) is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-quality, end-to-end lawyer recruitment across the firm’s UK and EMEA offices. Working in close partnership with hiring managers and stakeholders, you will act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on attraction strategies, market insights, and best-in-class hiring practices. A key prerequisite of the role is prior legal recruitment experience either in-house or agency, and applications without this will not be considered.

What you’ll do:

  • You’ll take ownership of the recruitment lifecycle from vacancy approval through to offer, ensuring a seamless and inclusive candidate experience.
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to shape recruitment strategies.
  • Developing and delivering effective attraction and sourcing strategies.
  • Proactively sourcing and engaging high-quality candidates using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and CV databases.
  • Producing shortlists aligned to role requirements and firm criteria.
  • Supporting fair, consistent and inclusive assessment and selection processes.
  • Managing offers, including advising on market positioning.
  • Building and maintaining talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Ensuring all recruitment activity is compliant with internal processes and governance.
  • Delivering a professional, responsive and engaging candidate experience.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of recruitment processes and tools.

What we’re looking for:

Experience:

  • Experience in lawyer recruitment, gained in-house within a law firm, professional services or through a legal recruitment agency, ideally including international recruitment exposure.
  • Proven track record of direct sourcing, talent pooling and market mapping in the UK legal market.
  • Strong stakeholder-facing experience, with the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to provide insight-led recruitment advice.
  • Experience using recruitment systems and sourcing tools.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Attributes:

We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, proactive and genuinely relationship-focused. You’ll be comfortable building trust with stakeholders and candidates alike, bringing a solutions-oriented mindset and sound judgement to each stage of the recruitment process. This role would suit someone who is resilient and adaptable, able to stay calm in a fast-paced environment and navigate changing priorities with a structured, thoughtful approach.

What happens next?

Once your application has been submitted and reviewed, our Talent Acquisition team will share the outcome with you by email. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are only able to provide individual feedback to candidates who progress to interview stage. We typically hold two interview stages per vacancy providing the opportunity to meet two members of the hiring team at each stage. The first stage is typically conducted virtually and the second stage typically in person at the office in which the role would be based. However, we strive to remain flexible depending on the requirements of the role or the candidate.

Our strength lies in our differences. We are a Stonewall employer, a Valuable 500 member, a signatory of the Race at Work Charter and a proud partner of Neurodiversity in Law. We encourage and value different ideas and styles of thinking. It's with different perspectives that we'll find solutions to our clients' most complex challenges. It's how we'll deliver outstanding results today, and tomorrow. We want everybody attending an interview to be comfortable and able to fully demonstrate their experience and talents.
