The Opportunity
We are recruiting a Company Secretarial Consultant to deliver high‑quality company secretarial and governance services to a diverse portfolio of external clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and collaborative Company Secretarial team, where you will play a key role in supporting clients with statutory compliance and governance matters, while also contributing to the continued growth and development of the service through business development and team mentorship.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for managing a varied client portfolio, with a particular focus on Companies Act compliance and the effective management of company meetings
- Providing governance support for board and shareholder meetings, including preparing agendas, drafting minutes, managing correspondence and communicating decisions
- Project managing large‑scale and complex matters, ensuring delivery is efficient, accurate and well‑governed
- Supporting business development and client relationship activity, including bids, pitches and pricing proposals
- Managing billing activity in line with agreed arrangements
- Designing and delivering client training, including the preparation of tailored training materials
- Producing clear and insightful reports for clients
- Keeping up to date with regulatory and statutory developments, ensuring advice and delivery remain current and compliant
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of precedents and know‑how
- Supporting the development of junior team members through coaching and mentorship
About You
- A Chartered Company Secretary (ICSA/CGI) qualification or completion of the LPC/Diploma
- Strong, hands‑on experience delivering company secretarial services, gained either in‑house or within a professional services environment
- Proven experience acting as Company Secretary for a broad range of client organisations
- A solutions‑driven mindset, with the confidence to problem‑solve, add value and take a pragmatic approach to complex governance matters
