Overview
In this role, you manage electronic invoicing for clients, navigating multiple e-Billing platforms and the firm’s practice management system. You ensure timely processing, compliance with client guidelines, and resolve issues such as rejections or short payments. You will work closely with partners, lawyers, and the E-Billing team to maintain accuracy and timely updates across portals. This position offers exposure to international billing and cross-system reconciliation, with a focus on reliability and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and upload electronic invoices to client e-Billing platforms
- Ensure invoices are processed within client timelines and comply with guidelines
- Resolve issues including rejections and short payments
- Maintain logs of processed/rejected invoices and update billing data in e-Billing systems
- Liaise with partners and lawyers to ensure guideline compliance
- Perform reconciliation between Aderant and client portals
- Provide updates to E-Billing Team Manager on process changes and training needs
- Coordinate with credit controller on unpaid bills status
- Escalate unresolved issues to E-Billing Team Manager
- Provide cover and support to other E-Billing team members
Key requirements
- Experience in complex billing and eBilling in professional services
- Experience with multi-currency billing and international business exposure (advantageous)
- Essential: E-Billing experience
- Experience with practice management systems (ideally Aderant) and various eBilling platforms
- Sound IT skills, especially Excel
- Knowledge of Solicitors’ accounts rules
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
