We're looking for a Group Business Manager to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting senior leadership to drive business performance and strategic growth. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with Partners and the Director of Finance & Operations, providing insight, leadership and direction across financial management, planning and operational delivery. If you enjoy combining commercial thinking, data-driven insight and stakeholder engagement, this is an excellent opportunity to influence decision-making at a senior level.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Financial insight & performance
    • Lead month-end reporting, providing clear, insightful commentary to leadership
    • Deliver financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
    • Oversee key metrics including performance trends, utilisation and KPIs
    • Support pricing on bids, tenders and client proposals
  • Business planning & strategy
    • Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning cycles
    • Provide insight to support growth strategies and business initiatives
    • Support decisions on lateral hires and promotions through robust financial modelling
    • Work closely with HR and leadership on resource and headcount planning
  • Operational leadership
    • Support partner recruitment processes, including building business cases and engaging with candidates
    • Ensure effective financial and operational processes are in place
    • Collaborate with revenue and credit control teams to optimise working capital
  • Driving improvement & change
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
    • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and business transformation projects
    • Help evolve business practices to adapt to changing market demands
  • Collaboration & stakeholder engagement
    • Build trusted relationships with Partners and senior stakeholders
    • Work across teams, offices and regions to share best practice
    • Deputise for senior leadership where required
  • Team development
    • Line manage and support the development of a Finance Business Analyst
    • Share knowledge and contribute to the wider team’s development

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a finance or business partnering role (ideally within professional services)
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into clear insight
  • Confidence engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
