About The Role
We are looking for a proactive Finance Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their analytical skillset, work closely with senior stakeholders, and contribute to key financial insights that shape business decisions. In this role, you will support Partners, Fee Earners, Business Managers, and the Senior Finance team by delivering high‑quality reporting, analysis, and financial insight. You’ll also have the chance to develop your skills in reporting tools and dashboard creation, collaborating closely with colleagues across Finance to ensure key deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis
- Support the FP&A Manager and Head of FP&A with analysis for monthly reporting.
- Respond to queries received via the FP&A inbox, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
- Deliver ad‑hoc analysis and presentations as requested by senior finance stakeholders.
- Reporting
- Prepare and deliver a range of weekly and monthly reports for stakeholders across the business.
- Produce ad‑hoc reports as required, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Planning & Budgeting
- Assist in the annual budget, reforecasting, and 3‑year planning cycles.
- Load and reconcile data within the core budgeting system and produce relevant reporting and analysis.
- Projects & Development
- Work closely with the financial systems team to automate reports using Power BI or other reporting tools.
- Build effective relationships across the firm and contribute to a variety of business and finance projects.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Qualifications
- University degree (2:1 or equivalent), ideally in a numerate subject.
- Part‑qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW) — advantageous but not essential.
- Experience
- Experience in a reporting and analysis role, supporting both finance leaders and non‑financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to develop, enhance, and implement reports to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Working knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience in Professional Services is beneficial but not required.
- Skills
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, lookups, and handling large datasets).
- Proficiency with Power BI/Tableau, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ambition to develop technological and AI‑driven reporting capabilities.
