We are recruiting a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, enterprise‑wide technology and business transformation initiatives within our Digital Delivery & Change team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Digital Delivery & Change and will be responsible for delivering complex transformation projects across all areas of the firm, with matrix‑management responsibility of project resources from other areas of the firm and third‑party suppliers as appropriate.
The Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for line management of the Digital Delivery & Change Senior Business Analyst, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Project Coordinators and will include monitoring performance, setting objectives, conducting the 6‑month check‑ins and annual appraisals, providing guidance and coaching on learning and development plans.
Our standard working hours are 9.30am–5.30pm and we operate a 3 days in the office, 2 days from home working model; however, as an inclusive employer, we are willing to consider any flexible working requests.
Candidate Overview
- Significant experience delivering complex, enterprise‑wide transformation projects using waterfall, agile or hybrid approaches, ideally in a legal or financial services environment.
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional project teams within a matrix delivery environment.
- Experience in procurement process, selection and engagement of third‑party providers and ongoing relationship management of third‑party implementation partner and/or solution provider.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to ensure credibility with senior stakeholders, including the ability to negotiate, influence, persuade and challenge the status quo when required to achieve a successful outcome, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and adapting styles to the person in front of you.
- Demonstrable experience of line management, coaching or mentoring within a project delivery function.
- Evidence of a willingness to be flexible to get things over the line, including taking on tasks potentially outside of normal scope or offering to support other teams or management where needed.
