Role Overview

Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team and will be a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months. We are looking for an experienced Paralegal or Senior Paralegal to join our Cyber, Data & Privacy specialist team within MLS. The successful candidate will report into a Delivery Manager and support our MLS Delivery teams in ensuring that we are delivering a world class legal service to our practice groups and external clients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working as a subject matter expert, this role will support our lawyers with a variety of more complex technical work in their area of expertise as well as client relationship activity
  • Leading delivery of small-medium scale projects and lower complexity matters in collaboration with LPMs and/or practice group fee earners
  • Supervise and quality check the work of more junior colleagues
  • Mentor junior members of the team and support their upskilling
  • Support the Senior Specialist and the Delivery Manager to develop and implement new Cyber, Data & Privacy work services and solutions

Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working on Cyber, Data & Privacy work/matter types including DSARs, ROPAs and cyber breaches
  • Broad experience of working in a large, commercial law firm
  • Understanding of levels of service and technical capability required to support demand
