The Team
Our Birmingham Team: The firm advises both public and private sector clients and has developed a strong practice advising on large infrastructure projects, real estate developments and manufacturing facilities for bio-technology clients, as well as portfolio redevelopment for several investment funds. Practice head Nigel Blundell has also handled significant mandates in the rail and infrastructure industries, advocating innovative contracting mechanisms.
Work highlights
- Advising on the UK\’s largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects including Leeds Bradford Airport, numerous contractors on Network Rail\\\’s CP7 framework, various water AMP and advising contractors on bids for National Grid\\\’s Great Grid Upgrade.
- Advising on a portfolio of cladding remediation projects for national developers.
- Acting on real estate developments nationally. Sectors include offices, hotels, residential, mixed-use and institutional investors on their portfolios and development work.
- Acting for numerous clients in the university sector on significant mandates on high profile projects.

The Candidate Required
We are now looking to appoint an ambitious qualified lawyer with 3-6 years PQE who wishes to advance their abilities in construction & projects, and knowledge at a top tier international law practice.
The successful applicant will:
- ideally have gained experience in a large commercial firm and have completed work in construction, projects or similar
- Ideally have advised contractors as well as other key stakeholders.
- have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills
- have good commercial awareness and is client focused
- be a team player with the ability to forge strong working relationships with colleagues in an agile environment
- be well-organised and have good project management skills
