Location: Birmingham, Leeds or Manchester
We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative individual to join our busy Finance team, supporting our UK offices on a 12 months fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Legal Cashier and the wider Cashiering team to ensure the smooth running of day‑to‑day financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid cashiering experience who thrives in a fast‑paced professional environment and enjoys building strong working relationships across departments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Posting of Client and Office Receipts
- Making Client and Office Payment by Chaps or Cheque and file upload
- Ensuring information is recorded and filed correctly
- Liaising with other offices to answer any queries and provide support to Fee Earners
- Ensuring Deposit Interest is paid on each matter when due
- Ensuring the SAR rules are complied with
- Ensuring timetables and deadlines are met
- Ability to work with multi currency
- Dealing with Client to Office Transfers and Bank Reconciliation’s daily
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar Legal Cashier role
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge
- Thorough approach to complying with processes and authorisations
- Proven ability to work within a busy environment and meet frequent deadlines
- IT literate with a knowledge of CMS Open and Excel preferred
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication skills (written & oral)
