Premier League Studios is looking for an experienced Producer to take editorial ownership of live studio and/or magazine programming. You’ll shape the running order and on‑screen output, lead and develop a small production team, and collaborate closely with senior producers, the on‑screen talent and external partners (including graphics) to deliver standout shows. Premier League Studios will be responsible for all international media content production and distribution, providing a best‑in‑class service to the Premier League’s partners and millions of passionate fans around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the production and editorial direction of a live studio programme (or programmes), or magazine‑style show within PLS’s Programming division.
  • To prepare running orders, brief the editorial team, liaise with the on‑screen team and “gallery produce” live programmes, or non‑live magazine programmes.
  • To deliver live studio and magazine programmes on time and on budget.
  • To continually track, assess and manage the relevant programme budget, whilst liaising with the Production Manager.
  • Experience of and the ability to build strong relationships with on‑screen teams, and to continually raise the level of excellence within the shows.
  • To lead in defining the editorial content and direction of the live or magazine programme.
  • Forward planning, idea generation, and the ability to think creatively and work with others effectively.
  • Close liaison with the Head of Programmes, Senior Producers, and other live Producers to ensure uniformity & synchronicity across Programming and other PLS divisions.
  • Line management and on‑the‑job training for production team members including Assistant Producers and Editorial Assistants.
  • Ensuring APs and EAs are performing all their key responsibilities.
  • Building and maintaining an excellent working relationship with our external graphics supplier and other external parties.
  • Responsible for adhering to compliance guidelines.
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Producer or Producer, particularly in a sports environment.
  • Passion for and an in‑depth knowledge of Premier League football.
  • Experience of live studio programming and/or non‑live magazine programming.
  • A keen eye for design & creative look and feel.
  • Ability to team‑build – and crucially, to be a team player as well as a team leader.
  • Comprehensive understanding of budget processes and implications.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and unsocial hours as and when required, mainly inline with the Football schedule.
