Description
Hey đ Iâm Emily, Director of Growth Marketing at Pinpoint.
Weâre a high-growth HR tech startâup building and selling software that helps inâhouse recruitment teams attract, hire, and onboard the right talent. Today, we have a strong foundation in place, with a mature product, rapid growth, strong productâmarket fit, and happy customers.
In 2025, we\âre continuing to focus on outbound and events in the UKâand we need an Outbound Growth Executive to own it. You\âll reach out to target companies, follow up after events, and turn conversations into meetings for our sales team. Working with the Growth team, you\âll help connect our marketing efforts directly to sales.
Unlike typical SDR roles, you\âll focus on targeted outbound to a curated list of highâfit UK companies rather than grinding through mass cold listsâexpect strategic, qualityâoverâvolume prospecting over smileâandâdial quotas.
Whether you come from sales, recruitment, account management, customer success or another clientâfacing roleâwhat matters most is your ability to connect with people and think commercially. We\âll provide focused training from day one, including Sandler (or similar) sales methodology and ongoing coaching from our Growth, Sales and RevOps teams.
The fine print (but way more exciting):
- This is a remote role based in the UK, with ~2â3 days/month of inâperson time for coâworking sessions in London and UK events like RecFest and IHR Live
- Youâll be our only Outbound Exec in the UK, reporting into the Growth Marketing team, and working closely with Events, Partnerships, Sales and RevOps to drive outbound and eventâled pipeline
- Youâll be juggling prioritiesâswitching between cold outreach, event prep, and followâupâand success will depend on how well you manage your own time and stay organised without heavy structure
- This is a highâownership, fastâpaced role. Weâre still in startup modeâthings move quickly, some processes are still in flux, and youâll need to be proactive, adaptable, and handsâon
- Our values shape how we work. Weâre looking for someone who brings them to life in everything they do
About the Role:
- Reach out to the right companies using LinkedIn, email, phone and other channelsâthink targeted outreach to companies that fit our ideal customer profile, not mass cold lists
- Represent Pinpoint at UKâbased eventsâwork the stand, identify highâpotential leads, meet prospects faceâtoâface, and follow up afterward to turn conversations into meetings
- Learn the Pinpoint product so you can have credible conversations with HR leaders and tailor your approach to different personas. You donât need to be technicalâjust confident talking about what we do and why it matters
- Work with the Growth Marketing team to test different messaging, experiment with new tactics, and refine what works for different types of companiesâthink of it like collaborating with hiring managers to improve job descriptions based on candidate feedback
- Share whatâs working (and what isnât). Youâll work closely with Sales and RevOps to improve our approachâwhat messages get responses, which companies are worth prioritizing, and what new tactics we should try
- Create opportunities that turn into revenue. Your job is to book qualified meetings for the sales teamâbasically, youâre submitting a shortlist of companies that are genuinely interested and worth pursuing
Tech stack: HubSpot, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Cognism, HeyReach, Gong, AirCall, Notion, Grammarly, Google Workspace
About You:
- 3+ years in clientâfacing roles like sales, recruitment, account management, customer success or hospitalityâwe care more about your ability to build rapport and think commercially than your CRM experience
- Confident across channelsâequally comfortable on the phone, working an event stand, or crafting a LinkedIn message. You make conversations feel natural and human, not transactional
- Conversational, not scriptedâyou ask questions and listen rather than launching into pitches. You follow the natural flow of a conversation instead of sticking to a script.
- Organised, proactive, and dependable. You take ownership, manage your own workload, and donât need micromanagement
- Commercially awareâyou connect outreach to outcomes. You understand how pipeline turns into revenue, and you prioritise intelligently based on what will actually move the needle
- Naturally collaborativeâyou enjoy working crossâfunctionally and being part of a small, ambitious team. You share whatâs working (and what isnât) openly
- Resilient and resourcefulâable to navigate rejection, adapt tactics, and keep momentum even when things donât go to plan
- Based in the UK and comfortable working remotely
How is success measured?
- Stage 2 Deals (S2s): Your primary focus will be generating highâquality opportunitiesâspecifically Stage 2 deals (prospects whoâve completed a first meeting and are moving forward). Stage 1s (meetings booked) are great, but S2s are the real benchmark for success. Youâll have a clear S2 target to work toward each month.
- Lead source mix: Not all leads are created equal. Weâll look at where your deals come fromâwhether thatâs outbound, events, or inboundâand make sure your performance and compensation reflect that mix. The goal is to drive net new revenue, and we want to reward the activity that gets us there.
- Competencies & values: Weâre a valuesâled team (Fast, Flexible, Human, Ownership), and weâll be looking for those to show up in your dayâtoâday. Weâll also assess things like initiative, accountability, and how you prioritise your time.
What is a typical day in the life?
- Running outbound plays: Launching a new sequence built by the growth teamâsending emails, connecting on LinkedIn, and tailoring messages to get attention.
- Event prep: Digging into attendee lists ahead of a live event. Youâll find key prospects, learn about their hiring challenges, and get them into eventâspecific campaigns.
- Prospect followâup: Giving someone a call a few days after they received brownies from usâstarting a conversation about their hiring challenges and how we might help.
- Team collaboration: Joining the marketing team for a brainstorm session, throwing out ideas for new messaging angles, and syncing on whatâs working
Where will the leads come from?
- Inbound & recycled leads: Youâll get warm leads from our marketing activityâand leads from past opportunities that didnât convert the first time around.
- Event lists: For events we sponsor or host, youâll work the preâ, duringâ, and postâevent pipeline.
- Strategic outbound lists: Youâll also go after highâpotential accounts from our UK Strategic Addressable Market (SAM)âhandâpicked prospects that match our ideal customer profile. With support from your manager and RevOps, youâll focus on narrow, highâquality segments (e.g. companies using a competitor ATS).
