Description

At Zinc, events are about so much more than showing up. They’re where our brand comes to life, where online conversations turn into real relationships, and where we get to create experiences that people remember. From some of the biggest trade shows in our industry to smaller, more intimate events, we want every Zinc event to feel thoughtful, creative and unmistakably us. ⚡️
Events sits within Marketing and plays an important role in how we build our brand, create demand and generate pipeline. As Junior Events Manager, you’ll help bring our events programme to life, working closely with Marketing, Sales, Outbound, Creative and our external partners to make sure every event runs brilliantly.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves making things happen. You’ll get stuck into everything from planning and logistics to attendee communications and on-the-day delivery, while learning how great events can build our brand and contribute to commercial growth. We’re looking for someone organised, proactive and excited to make things happen. 🚀
***We’re heading off on our company retreat to Italy 🇮🇹☀️, so you likely won’t hear from us about your application until we’re back on 21 September . Thanks in advance for your patience while we’re away!

Once we’re back, we expect to move pretty quickly through the process ⚡️, so you shouldn’t be waiting around for long between stages.***

Key Responsibilities ️

Help deliver Zinc’s events calendar , supporting everything from major industry trade shows and exhibitions to sales-led events, third-party events, webinars and new event formats.

Own the detail: Build timelines, schedules, checklists and run sheets, keeping track of deadlines and making sure nothing gets missed.

Coordinate event logistics: Help manage exhibitor portals, travel, stock, swag, attendee communications, demos and all the other details that make an event run smoothly.

Work with suppliers and partners: Coordinate with venues, stand suppliers, caterers, technical teams and other external partners to make sure everything is delivered as planned.

⚡️ Work across Zinc: Partner with Marketing, Sales, Outbound, Creative and Content to coordinate attendees, event materials, communications and on-the-day activity.

🥾Get stuck in on event days: Help set up, run and pack down events, making sure everything is working as it should and jumping in to solve problems when they come up.

Help us make events better: Bring ideas for how we can make our events more creative, engaging and distinctly Zinc, while learning from what works and what doesn’t.

🪡 Close the loop: Keep attendee and lead data accurate in HubSpot, collect feedback and help with post-event reporting and follow-up.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 🚀

Events experience: Around 1–2 years’ experience in Events, Field Marketing or a similar role, ideally with experience helping to deliver a varied events calendar.

Trade show experience: You must have experience delivering or supporting a trade show or exhibition. You’ll understand that the things attendees don’t see are often what make an event run well.

Highly organised: You’re naturally organised and enjoy keeping track of lots of different details, deadlines and moving parts.

Proactive: You don’t need someone to tell you what needs doing at every step. You’ll spot things that need attention and get on with them.

🧠 Problem solver: When something goes wrong, you stay calm, work out what needs to happen and find a practical solution.

Creative: You care about how an event looks and feels, not just whether everything arrives on time. You’ll have ideas and be excited to try things differently.

Comfortable with systems and data: You’re happy working with tools such as HubSpot and understand the importance of keeping event and attendee data accurate.

🤝 Collaborative: You’ll work with lots of different people across Zinc and externally, so you’ll communicate clearly and enjoy being part of a team.

🛠️ Willing to get stuck in: Events can be glamorous, but there’s also plenty of setting up, packing down, spreadsheets and last-minute problem solving. You’ll enjoy all of it.

Keen to learn: You’re excited to develop your events career, take on more responsibility over time and learn what makes an event genuinely great.

Who are Zinc? ⚡️
We believe in better background checking: making them easy, instant and delightful - for candidates and HR teams across the world . Founded in 2017, we've grown year-on-year, reaching the Times Top 100 fastest growing businesses, the Deloitte EMEA fast 500 and winning the 2026 HSBC x WIRED Award in the Trailblazers Category.

But we're not all work, our founders Luke and Charlotte are hot on being a culture first business . By this, we don't just mean an active calendar of company and team events (although these are great! 🥂 ) - our culture is defined by respect, fostering support for new ideas, promoting flexible work environments and operating with autonomy and low ego. ❤️

It's not just us who think they've done a stellar job - we've won awards for being a Top Place To Work in 2025 and 2026 from Tembo and SeedLegals

What are our values? 🧩🧩🧩
Our values are: Pragmatism, Integrity, Empathy, Collaboration, Empowerment and Speed. We call them the PIECES that make Zinc (see what we did there 😂).

How do we work? 🧑

We operate on a hybrid working model, with everyone coming to our Shoreditch Offices on Mondays and Thursdays, and working from home on the others. We believe this is a great balance between having space for deep work and in-person collaboration ⚡️⚡️⚡️
