Pinpoint Search

Pinpoint Search (well really just me - Duncan!) are recruiting exclusively for DragonBet, Wales’s fastest-growing independent sportsbook & casino brand and they\'re looking for a hands-on HR Manager to help them scale smart

This is a rare opportunity to shape a people function from the ground up with the flexibility to make it fit around your life.

If you’re confident in terms of implementing/maintaining the practicals and strategic enough to future-proof a scaling business, I\'d love to speak to you all about them and the journey they\'re on.

The Role

They are two years into the journey. Out of nappies and in to those troublesome adolescent years, just before things really get structured. Now’s the time to set smart, simple people processes that will help their team thrive, without adding unnecessary red tape.

You’ll:

  • Own and improve their recruitment and onboarding processes (including remote staff)
  • Build a repeatable HR infrastructure: policies, templates, systems
  • Design a practical performance framework that managers will actually use
  • Support directors with team planning and development
  • Be the go-to for people issues, engagement, and culture-building
  • Keep the docs, records, and contracts updates in shape
  • Help them scale sustainably, with clarity, compliance, and confidence
About You

You’re probably someone who’s:

  • Built or led HR in a fast-moving SME, startup, or founder-led business
  • Comfortable working independently, but confident influencing at director level
  • Practical and people-focused, you simplify, not over-engineer
  • A great communicator. Naturally warm, clear, and approachable
  • Experienced with hybrid and remote teams (nice to have: digital or regulated industry experience)

This role could appeal to someone who’s:

  • Looking to return to work after a career break or maternity leave
  • Seeking part-time flexibility for better work/life balance
  • Managing a portfolio career and looking to take on a part-time employed position (this must be a direct employment role, not run through a consultancy)
What\'s on Offer
  • Pro-rata salary of £40,000–£60,000 depending on experience
  • Flexible part-time hours (they’ll shape them around you)
  • Office-based preferred (Cardiff), but hybrid options available
  • The chance to genuinely shape a scaling Welsh brand in an exciting, fast-paced space

Sound like a fit? Apply now and let’s chat, even if your CV needs a dust off.
