Pinpoint Resourcing are recruiting for a construction business to source a sole Part Time Finance Manager. This hands-on role requires a candidate with strong technical accounting skills, capable of managing profit & loss, balance sheets, and inter-company reconciliations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing management accounts (working with an external Accountant) and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
Duties:
- Conduct month-end and year-end procedures including accruals/prepayments, balance sheet and P&L
- Prepare monthly management accounts for Director’s review and liaise with external accountants for adjustments etc
- Manage GBP/USD/Euro cashbooks including data entry, intercompany transfers, and reconciliations.
- Complete and submit VAT returns and conduct monthly postponed VAT checks.
- Manage sales ledger, credit control and purchase ledger, including invoices, credit checks, reconciliations and ensuring prompt debt collection.
- Utilise third-party data sources to support financial findings and improve reporting.
- Oversee and negotiate contract renewals, such as office insurance and phone contracts.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role
- Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to manage profit & loss and balance sheets.
- Ability to process multi-currency transactions and VAT processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Salary + other information
£40,000 - £50,000 pro rata
3 days a week
Ability to attend the office at least once a week in Shoreditch
