I'm supporting a leading financial services client as they continue to strengthen their AI and automation capabilities. They're investing in secure, scalable solutions across the business, and we’re now looking for an AI & Automation Specialist to help drive that forward. We’re looking for a hands‐on AI & Automation Specialist to help them turn great ideas into secure, scalable, production‐ready solutions. You’ll be building automations and agent‐based tools using Microsoft 365 technologies, shaping delivery patterns, and making sure every release is safe, supportable, and adds real value.
What you’ll be doing:
- Turning prioritised use cases into live automation and agent solutions
- Building and enhancing CoPilot Studio agents and Power Automate workflows
- Choosing the right technical approach for each use case and creating patterns others can reuse
- Embedding secure‐by‐design principles; permissions, access boundaries, least privilege
- Producing production‐ready assets: logging, error handling, documentation, handover packs
- Working closely with Security, Cyber and Technology Risk to stay aligned with policy and controls
- Supporting testing, defect resolution and early‐life support
- Helping define measurable outcomes and contributing to benefits tracking
What you’ll bring:
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 automation tools (Power Automate, CoPilot Studio)
- Solid understanding of identity, access and permissions in M365
- Knowledge of release standards; rollback, monitoring, documentation, supportability
- Strong grasp of data access, permissions and information‐risk concepts
- Understanding of Power Platform governance (environments, DLP, connector risk)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview (labels, DLP, audit)
- Awareness of SharePoint information architecture and how it shapes automation outcomes
Candidate experience:

- Delivered production‐grade automations (approvals, data processing, notifications)
- Built or configured conversational/agent solutions in a governed environment
- Integrated M365 tooling with business systems via approved connectors/APIs
- Worked in regulated environments with strong audit and control expectations
- Translated business needs into technical solutions and iterated from MVP to stable release
- Implemented secure access patterns and avoided oversharing risks
- Produced supportable solutions with documentation, logging and error handling
- Supported test cycles, resolved defects and provided early‐life support
- Shaped solution designs for AI and automation use cases
- Produced clear, decision‐ready documentation
- Transitioned solutions into BAU successfully
- Managed complex or challenging technical scenarios
Desirable:
- Experience with Power Apps
- Exposure to CI/CD approaches for Power Platform
- Understanding of value measurement (time saved, cycle time, quality improvements)
