About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic and delivery-focused Lead Product Manager to drive the evolution of our payments platform. This role sits at the heart of our product organisation, owning the full product lifecycle across acquiring, authorisation, settlement, and reconciliation. You’ll lead small cross-functional teams to scale the platform, optimise API-led integrations, and deliver merchant-centric solutions that unlock revenue and reduce operational complexity.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and execute the product strategy for core payments infrastructure, aligned with business goals and merchant needs.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and roadmap planning to launch, iteration, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Commercial, and Operations to deliver scalable, compliant, and resilient solutions.
  • Lead platform initiatives across acquiring, authorisation, settlement, and reconciliation, driving cost efficiency and margin improvement.
  • Shape API-first product experiences that enable seamless partner integrations and merchant onboarding.
  • Use data and customer insight to inform prioritisation, validate hypotheses, and measure impact.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes (e.g. PSD2, PCI-DSS, SCA) and scheme mandates, embedding compliance without friction.
  • Mentor junior product managers and contribute to a high-performance, outcome-driven product culture.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in payments, ideally within a PSP, acquirer, issuer, or high-growth fintech.
  • Deep understanding of payment flows, scheme relationships, and platform architecture.
  • Strong track record of owning product strategy and delivery in a SaaS or API-led environment.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-growth settings.
  • Commercial acumen, able to balance technical depth with business impact.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making clear trade-offs under pressure.

Nice to have

  • Experience with platform-led product development and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with merchant onboarding, alternative payment methods, and open banking.
  • Exposure to international markets and multi-currency payment flows.
