We are working with an exciting client, who is a leader in the financial services field, looking for an M365 Engineer to play a key role in shaping how modern AI-driven productivity tools are delivered, governed, and supported across the organisation. This role focuses on enabling secure adoption of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Copilot while building the guardrails that keep a regulated business safe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the safe, phased rollout of Microsoft 365 Copilot, ensuring readiness, security boundaries, and risk decisions are fully embedded.
- Configure and govern Power Platform environments, including DLP policies, connector controls, and operational standards.
- Strengthening SharePoint and M365 configuration to support secure collaboration, permissions models, and external sharing controls.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and support processes for Copilot, automation solutions, and wider M365 services.
- Provide 2nd/3rd-line support for M365, Copilot, and Power Platform issues, working with vendors where needed.
- Partner with Information Security, Cyber, and Technology Risk to implement controls and support audit evidence requirements.
- Produce clear operational documentation, runbooks, and admin guides to reduce key-person dependency.
- Support benefits tracking by defining measurable outcomes and helping teams evidence value.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in a production environment.
- Solid understanding of identity, access, permissions, and data exposure risks in M365.
- Strong knowledge of Power Platform governance (environments, DLP, connectors).
- Experience enabling new M365 capabilities with structured rollout and operational readiness.
- Background working with security and risk teams to implement controls and support audits.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex M365 / Power Platform issues and drive them to resolution.
- Experience transitioning services from project delivery into BAU support.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with Copilot administration, oversharing controls, and readiness assessments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview information protection and monitoring.
- Experience with M365 audit logging, monitoring, and operational insights.
- Exposure to adoption and enablement activities alongside L&D or comms teams.
