We are seeking a qualified and experienced school counsellor/therapist to join our school. The post is either for 1 or 2 days. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with secondary-aged students, providing a safe and supportive space to help them navigate a range of emotional and wellbeing needs. We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer an alternative or creative approach to counselling - for example; art-based therapy, animal-assisted interventions or other non-traditional modalities that engage young people in different ways.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 counselling to support students aged 11-18 years.
- Create a calm, welcoming therapeutic environment to meet the needs of individual students.
- Work collaboratively with pastoral staff and safeguarding leads.
- Maintain appropriate records in line with school and professional standards.
