Pinnacle Group are looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager to lead our Caretaking team and oversee on-site Sub-Contractors at Tendring Education Centre. This pivotal role ensures that both internal and external school facilities are fully operational, safe, and visually well-maintained. You’ll be responsible for delivering high standards of service, ensuring Health & Safety compliance, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all users of the site. Who we’re looking for

Key responsibilities:
- Manage the Caretaking Team – provide direct line management, delegate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure job descriptions are fulfilled.
- Plan and Oversee PPM & Reactive Tasks – Schedule and track planned preventative maintenance and ensure reactive tasks are completed within SLAs.
- Ensure Health & Safety Compliance – Oversee H&S standards for caretaking and sub-contractor activities.
- Monitor Sub-Contractors – Oversee cleaning and grounds subcontractors, support local supervisors, and drive service improvements.
- Coordinate with FM & Stakeholders – Liaise with FM, school staff, and service providers to ensure smooth operations and identify improvements.
- Supervise External Providers – Arrange access, escorting, and supervision of external contractors by the caretaking team.
- Track Staff Attendance & Leave – Monitor timekeeping, absences, approve leave, and ensure adequate shift cover.
- Maintain Records & Stock Levels – Keep accurate logs of tasks, performance, overtime, and advise on stock/equipment needs.
Key Requirements
- Managerial or team leader experience is essential.
- Experience in a caretaking setting.
