Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Tulse Hill to ensure that outdoor spaces across numerous housing sites are well-maintained and well-presented. You will be responsible for a variety of landscaping tasks, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges and shrubs, weeding flower beds and pathways, and performing general upkeep such as clearing debris. You will operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently, following all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping, be physically fit, able to work in all weather conditions, and possess a keen eye for detail. This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday 7:30AM - 3:30PM. Due to the use of work vehicles, a Full UK Driving license is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mowing, edging, and maintaining lawns to keep them neat and healthy.
- Trimming and shaping hedges, shrubs, and bushes to promote growth and improve appearance.
- Removing weeds from flower beds, pathways, and other landscaped areas to prevent overgrowth.
- Planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants as well as preparing soil and beds.
- Clearing debris, litter picking, sweeping pathways, and maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas.
- Safely operating machinery such as mowers, strimmers, and leaf blowers, along with maintaining tools and equipment.
- Driving company vehicles to transport equipment and access multiple sites as required.
- Following all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Performing seasonal duties like leaf clearing, frost protection, or preparing sites for different weather conditions.
Key Requirements:
- Valid driving license
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good knowledge of horticultural practices, including planting, pruning, and weed control.
- Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Understanding of and compliance with health and safety regulations relevant to grounds maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and the public.
