Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to ensure that outdoor spaces across numerous housing sites are well-maintained and well-presented. You will be responsible for a variety of landscaping tasks, including:
- Mowing lawns, edging, and maintaining lawns to keep them neat and healthy.
- Trimming and shaping hedges, shrubs and bushes to promote growth and improve appearance.
- Removing weeds from flower beds, pathways and other landscaped areas to prevent overgrowth.
- Planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants as well as preparing soil and beds.
- Clearing debris, litter picking, sweeping pathways, and maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas.
- Safely operating machinery such as mowers, strimmers and leaf blowers, along with maintaining tools and equipment.
- Driving company vehicles to transport equipment and access multiple sites as required.
- Following all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Performing seasonal duties like leaf clearing, frost protection, or preparing sites for different weather conditions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid driving license.
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good knowledge of horticultural practices, including planting, pruning, and weed control.
- The ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- An understanding of and compliance with health and safety regulations relevant to grounds maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and the public.
