# Caretaker## Job IntroductionPinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Facilities Caretaker to ensure our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant.You will be joining our Facilities Management team based in Exeter. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed and keeping the premises clean and orderly. You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills. With over thirty years of experience, we deliver expert, place-based management and maintenance solutions that enhance the everyday lives of the communities we serve.We’re a people-first organisation with a values-driven culture that has stood the test of time -reflected in the way we care for both our employees and our customers.**Who we’re looking for**We’re looking for someone who not only meets the key criteria below but also embraces our core values – Trust, Respect, Involve, Challenge, and Deliver Excellence – and is committed to earning and maintaining the confidence of our clients and communities.Key responsibilities:* Ensuring security integrity of the school buildings and grounds through locking and unlocking, patrols, monitoring.* Carry out day-to -day duties according to daily schedule, i.e. littler picking, Bin emptying, sweeping.* Carry out defined Planned Preventative Maintenance responsibilities in accordance with each school\’s schedule and individual\’s skills* Where appropriate provide access, escort, liaise with and assist service providers on site to undertake remedial work or Planned Prevented Maintenance.* Carry out minor maintenance repairs and decoration works.* Carry out initial investigations into reactive requests made during the day relating to deficiencies in accommodation and making temporary or permanent repairs or otherwise notifying management of the need to call in a service provider, in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.* Respond to emergency situations, affecting temporary or permanent rectification in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.* Respond to request for porterage and collection of parcels, movement of furniture rearrangement of rooms etc. in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales.* Weekly checking and clearing drains, gullies for blockages as well as weekly plant room check/plant changeover monthly change/sterilize shower heads/ Painting (patch and programmed works)Key Requirements* Range of general handyperson skills such as general DIY skills, minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical* Good customer service skills* Amenable and approachable personality* Ability to liaise with and assist external service providers* Ability to work in a team**Our offer**We believe that diversity makes us stronger.
