Overview
In this role you will lead the estimating function for residential housing projects within a market-leading construction firm that handles design, build, maintenance and refurbishment. You will coordinate bid submissions and develop proposals, working closely with the Design & Build Manager to shape bids and pursue government or industry initiatives. You’ll apply analytical pricing to Bills of Quantities and leverage Conquest Estimating System to drive accurate, competitive bids. This is a team-centric, long-term position that values professional qualifications and stable employment history.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate submission and proposals development
- Perform analytical pricing of in-house Bills of Quantities using Conquest Estimating System
- Collaborate with Design & Build Manager on bid development
- Assist with new initiatives as directed by leadership
- Research Government or industry initiatives and trends
Key requirements
- Proven track record in estimating, design & build, and residential housing
- Experience with Local Authority/Housing Association procurement methods
- Understanding of partnering, design/build and traditional contracting processes
- Proficient in public presentation and bid submission methods
- Motivated, long-term team player
- Stable employment history (3+ years with same company) or similar
- Good references
