Overview
In this Technical Manager role you support the Land department in identifying and securing development sites, ensuring technical investigations, design, and liaison with statutory authorities are in place to enable procurement and site development. You coordinate technical drawings, optimise pre-planning, and secure required approvals to meet programme targets. You supervise the technical function, manage external consultants, and keep design, filing, and budget processes on track. This is a hands-on, site‑focused role for someone with residential development experience who shapes how projects progress from planning to construction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate production of technical drawings and specialised designs
- Assist pre-planning with cost optimisation recommendations
- Negotiate and secure statutory approvals and legal agreements with authorities
- Maintain design programmes and schedules (L3)
- Identify and resolve technical design/construction issues
- Provide feedback on technical matters to Technical Executive
- Supervise external consultants and manage workload within budget
- Maintain company plan filing and printing system
- Support administration of the company technical function
