Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor in a well-established main contractor, you will manage cost control and commercial контрактual matters on residential and social housing projects. You will work closely with site teams to record costs, prepare forecasts, valuations, and final accounts, while developing and managing the supply chain. You will contribute to a growth-focused business by improving tender workflows and ensuring accurate CVRs and payment processes. This role offers exposure to social housing refurbishments and external works, with a supportive, dynamic team near Watford. You will help shape project financials and procurement strategy to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse procurement tender information and liaise with supply chain for pricing
- Compile sub-contract orders and ensure signatures and documentation are complete
- Review sub-contract applications, issue payment notices, and manage cashflow forecasts
- Produce monthly AFA’s and valuations, and agree Final Accounts with supply chain and clients
- Work with site team to record costs, support as needed, and issue variation orders with supporting docs
- Attend site visits to assist commercial and operational sides and prepare CVRs for directors
Key requirements
- Strong track record in the Social Housing sector
- Autonomous and able to work in a team
- Good written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Punctual with good timekeeping
- Ability to take instruction from senior managers
- Full UK Driving Licence
