Award winning Major civil engineering Contractor is seeking a driven, and ambitious individual to join their Technical Service Team based on projects across the midlands. My client is looking for a Temporary Works Engineer (Design) to join their team working on multi discipline projects within civil engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the process, resolution and communication of all design queries as part of the project.
- Produce temporary works designs and checks as required from the projects.
- Produce design risk assessments/method statements.
- Review suppliers risk assessments/method statements.
- Explanation of works preparations to the project management.
- Raise requests for further information.
- Deal with requests for further information from suppliers/sub-contractors.
- Specify and monitor temporary works schemes.
- Produce outline ITPs.
- Ensure high standards of work production/instigate robust checking procedures.
The successful candidate will be:
- Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering / HND.
- 24 months Minimum design experience working in a similar position on projects including Rail, Highways and/or Major structures.
- Demonstrate how they have sought improvements and alternative solutions using the most efficient and cost effective measures.
- Must have knowledge of different forms of Temporary Works, how to work to a project's programme.
