The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

The company are one of the UKs most prolific contractors who are well respected and successfully bid and win on some of the most prestigious projects throughout the UK. They have an excellent reputation for the successful delivery of projects and in addition can boast an incredible staff retention record, progressive career paths and an excellent cohesive and professional work environment to thrive in.

The project is a £350m new build of science blocks, laboratories, secure storage units and large communal areas. This role will be to commercially manage the fitout of these blocks and will equate to around £30m of work per annum hence the request for fitout experience, the project has at least another 5 years to run.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Analytical Thinking & Decision Making
  • Orders information and systematically checks data
  • Cost Engineering
  • Prepares Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules & analyses tender documents
  • Estimating
  • Critically appraises, estimates and negotiates the above with 3rd parties
  • Planning
  • Reviews complex contract programmes such as Time-Location
  • Assists with the preparation of delay and disruption programmes
  • Project Management
  • Monitors subcontract activities, measure and respond appropriately
  • Analyses the commercial progress and report to senior project staff
  • Procurement
  • Undertakes constructability analyses using construction programmes
  • Prepares procurement programme and helps develop the strategy
  • Commercial Management
  • Analyses rates & prices, agreement of variations and or compensation events as required
  • Prepares, submits and negotiates claims when required
  • Prepares Internal reports, commercial progress and financial reconciliation
  • Development, Recruitment and Retention
  • Maintains own Personal Development Plan
  • Actively supports the development of others
  • Produces plans for team to achieve goals / aspirations
  • Supports recruitment of lower grades
