We are working for a well-established, forward-thinking construction consultancy based in Kent, delivering high-quality cost management, project control, and advisory services to clients across the residential, commercial, education, and public sectors. Our team prides itself on professionalism, integrity, and building long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth and several new project wins, we are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering cost consultancy and project support services across the full project lifecycle. You will work closely with senior team members, clients, and design teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on budget, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cost planning, estimating, and budget management across multiple projects
- Prepare bills of quantities, tender documents, and schedule of works
- Manage tender processes and analyse contractor submissions
- Conduct valuations, monitor project expenditure, and prepare financial reports
- Undertake risk, value engineering, and cost-saving analysis
- Support contract administration, including JCT and NEC forms
- Attend client and site meetings, providing professional advice and progress updates
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
About You
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Ideally progressing toward MRICS (or willing to work toward chartership)
- 2–5+ years’ experience within a consultancy or client-side environment
- Strong understanding of UK construction contracts and cost management principles
- Excellent numeracy, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing abilities
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently
