Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor with a Tier 1 contractor, you will contribute to a diverse construction portfolio across sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare, and hospitality. You will work within the construction division to manage cost and commercial aspects on multiple projects, including new build, design and build, refurbishment and fit-out. You will operate autonomously, adding value through strong commercial awareness and effective cross-project collaboration. This is a permanent role with local Bedfordshire opportunities and a clear impact on project delivery and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Support cost control and commercial delivery on projects across multiple sectors (new build, design and build, refurbishment, fit-out)
- Work autonomously on multiple projects simultaneously
- Contribute to client relationships and understanding client needs
- Apply strong commercial awareness to project reporting and procurement decisions
Key requirements
- Ideally degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
- Experience working for a reputable main contractor
- Experience across multiple sectors on various projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects autonomously
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Able to commute to Bedford, Bedfordshire daily
