Overview
You join a growing main contractor on a 11m new build industrial and commercial project in Southend, working on-site with a supportive commercial team. You’ll help drive the project’s commercial performance and cost control across a 30-week duration. The role sits within a dynamic, privately-owned business with a track record of repeat client relationships, offering a path to advance your career on diverse projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape on-site delivery and financial outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage on-site commercial activities and cost control for the project
- Assist with valuations, payments, and subcontractor coordination
- Support variations, change management, and forecast updates
- Collaborate with the commercial team to monitor risk and opportunities
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and site stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Contribute to project reporting and closeout activities
- Assist with procurement and subcontractor on-boarding as needed
- Support site operations to maintain programme and quality targets
Key requirements
- Degree qualification or other construction qualification (preferred)
- Experience with a reputable main contractor
- Ideally experience on industrial and commercial projects
- Steel frame experience (ideal)
- Excellent commercial skills and awareness
- Full UK drivers’ license
