This is a key leadership role within the pre-construction team, responsible for delivering high-quality cost estimates across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects including rail infrastructure, highways, and port developments.You will play a pivotal role in securing major projects, supporting strategic bids, and mentoring a growing estimating team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for complex civil engineering projects.Oversee and coordinate the full tendering process from initial enquiry through to submissionAnalyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive pricingEngage with supply chain partners to obtain competitive quotations and build strong relationshipsIdentify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options within tendersCollaborate closely with planning, commercial, and operational teamsPresent and review estimates with senior leadership and stakeholdersSupport business development activities and contribute to winning work strategiesMentor and develop junior estimators within the teamRequirementsProven experience in a senior or principal estimating role within a main contractor environmentStrong background in civil engineering, ideally across rail, highways, or port projectsExcellent knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and pricing structuresProficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office toolsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesSalary is up to 83,000 + Pkg.Please apply if you are interested to hear more about this opportunity.
