We are seeking an experienced Freelance Contract Manager to support the delivery of major civil engineering rail projects across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile rail infrastructure schemes within a fast-paced, collaborative project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer contracts across civil rail projects in line with NEC (NEC3/NEC4) conditions
- Oversee commercial performance, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting
- Lead change management processes, including compensation events and variations
- Support procurement, subcontract management, and final account agreements
- Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and site teams to mitigate risk
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager within civil engineering and rail infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (essential)
- Experience on Network Rail or major rail frameworks preferred
Rate is up to £450 per day, long term work.
