This Tier 1 Rail contractor wins work on high profile projects and has a healthy order book which includes this new project starting shortly.Reporting to the Engineering Manager / Project Manager you will be responsible for undertaking engineering duties both on site and in the office as directed, including managing site installers.Essential: ·Proven experience of Signalling installation, testing and commissioning. ·Experience in technical approvals of signalling designs, including IDC/IDR review process ·Experience of working to relevant to construction standards and tolerances.·Desirable candidate to have experience of London Underground and Network Rail Signalling Systems. ·Good knowledge of other rail disciplines and their interfaces. ·Previous experience of management of sub-contractors ·IT literate ·Educated to a degree level or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or relevant subject ·7.8.110Fv1 – Engineering Manager (Project Engineering) Desirable The role: ·Production of paperwork such as WPP, TBS, Relevant Permits, Inspection and Test Plans, risk assessments; and producing As Builts and relevant assurance documentation. ·Management of on-site signalling installation, testing and commissioning ·Working directly with the construction manager to plan and resource the works, accordingly, including review and updating project programmes. ·Reviewing design documentation in line with all relevant company and client standards, undertaking constructability and value engineering reviews.
