Job ID: 4889Salary: 80,000 - 90,000 + packageRegion: LondonContact: RobPhone: 07733 529 573One of the UK’s leading Main Contractors have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner to join them on a permanent basis, based in their offices in West London.The company have been operating for over a century, working on a wide range of projects including mixed use, commercial, residential and residential schemes.Reporting to the Head of Planning, the Senior Planner will provide a complete construction planning service at pre-qualification, pre-construction and construction stages, and will essentially promote a structured, flexible and realistic approach to the companies planning strategy.Key Responsibilities:Provide outline plans and methodologies at pre-qualification stage and submit/present to clients and client representativesProvide detailed tender programmes and method statements for inclusion in tender submissionsProvide a contract planning service including provision of target programmes and procurement schedules, monitor progress, attend progress meetings, issue progress reports, and reprogramming as required by the planning briefPromote the company at pre-qualification, tender and contract interviews, presentations and meetingsCarry out a continuous programme of research into new and innovative building techniques and advise the Head of Planning and tender/contract teams of any application showing the possibility of positive benefitsVisit sites to ascertain conditions and constraints to be taken into account in preparing tender programmes and method statementsAssess requirements and provide comprehensive scaffold and crane schedules to be used in obtaining competitive and realistic quotationsProvide to the contract team information release schedulesCompile comparative programmes for use in substantiation of claims or in disputesExperience and Qualifications:Able to develop optimum economic and realistic programming solutions and to effectively communicate these to internal and external contactsExtensive experience working on large mixed use, commercial and residential schemes for a reputable Main ContractorProficiency in Asta Power Project, Microsoft Project, and MS OfficeUp-to-date knowledge of Local Authority RegulationsExcellent communication skillsIf you are a Senior Planner and you are interested in this role, please apply with an updated CV or call Rob on: 07733 529 573
