Over the years they have continuously evolved, and are one of the most reputable builders in the high end residential sector carrying out prestigious projects to the highest quality.They carry out new build developments, refurbishment projects, extensions and alterations throughout South West London and the surrounding areas. Regardless of the project, the aim remains the same; to exceed their clients’ high expectations. Client focus and an uncompromising attitude to quality of finish are the driving forces behind the success of their business.Key Responsibilities: Manage the Project Surveyors, ensuring all company procedures are being adhered to whilst also running your own projectSet up and agree the implementation of new procedures if it is felt improvement in neededWork closely with the Contract Managers to deliver high quality product to budget and programmeMaximising the gross margin on the Company’s building contracts by working with the Contract Managers, accurately assessing costs during the delivery of the contractIdentifying inefficient spends and proposing new ways of eliminating theseJustifying to and claiming from Clients all contractual payments due to the companyGiving advice and undertaking value engineering if requiredPreparing and issuing tender packages to sub-contractorsRunning a competitive tender process including managing queries from tendering sub-contractorsCollate and analyse sub-contractor tenders and, after consultation with the relevant Contract Manager, award the sub contractsAssess and cost variations to the contract on a regular basis and update the Variations AccountScrutinise and verify applications for payment from sub contracts, issuing “pay less” notices in timely fashion if requiredFormulate contractual claims for submissionPrepare and submit monthly valuationsSubmit and agree final accountsPrepare monthly cost reports and cost forecastingPromote commercial awareness throughout the projectManage the procurement and buying gains reporting, ensuring regular updating as the project progressesReview and advise on contractsDevelop cost plansExperience Ideally Degree qualified or other relative qualificationsExtensive experience working for a reputable main contractor on similar projectsHigh End Residential project experience (ideally new build and refurbishment)Experience of managing a commercial teamExceptional commercial skills and awarenessCurrent driving licenseAble to commute to and work in SW LondonIf you are a Managing Surveyor and you are interested in this role, please apply with an updated CV or call Rob on 07733 529 573
